Nintendo won't be bringing Mario and Luigi minigames to smartphones, after all.

In a statement to Engadget on Tuesday, Nintendo denied an earlier report suggesting that it would offer minigames of its popular franchises on smartphones to promote its own hardware. The company, however, does plan to use "smart devices to promote our products."
