In the previous post, I have written how to create a 'Watercress of Rujak'. Well, on this occasion, I will share tips and recipes on the 'Two Varian Tofu Recipes With Rich Protein'. Besides fried tofu was also delicious and tasty when cooked by steaming and roasting. Beside rich in protein, low fat content as well. Want to try? Consider the following recipe
1. Layered Tofu Mushroom
Ingredients :
- 300g good white tofu, washed, drained.
- 100g snapper meat, thinly
sliced into 4 sections.
- 4 pieces Hioko mushrooms, discard the stems.
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 100 ml of plain soy milk
- 2 tablespoons Japanese soy sauce
- 1 egg white
Topping :
green cucumber, thinly sliced
How to make :
Cut the tofu into four pieces and then split lengthwise into two each. Place the fish slices and mushrooms on top of each piece of tofu. Sprinkle with pepper and salt. Brush with egg white, cover with another piece of tofu. Place on a heat resistant plate. Beat the egg whites until frothy, mixed with soy sauce, a little salt and pepper. Pour over the tofu. Steam heat in the steamer for 20 minutes until cooked. Remove, sprinkle with sliced cucumbers. Serve warm.
